5/9/11 2D Design

Today's Class- Today was our final class meeting. We had a group critique of the Board Game projects, and then I dismissed everyone while I graded those, the semester portfolios, museum papers, and some late arriving projects. Most returned to pick up their graded work. For those who didn't, all work was stacked up in the front corner of the room by the window. How long it will remain there is anybody's guess.

Final class grades have been submitted to Kean Wise. Enjoy the summer.

5/4/11 Intro to Art

Today's Class- Today was the last class meeting of the semester. We opened by looking at all the 3D projects, then the class was dismissed while I graded those, semester portfolios, and museum papers. All but 3 students returned to pick up their work. Unclaimed work was placed on the table over on the side of the room (the far right in the above photo) that has had 3D constructions on it all semester. (it may or may not remain there to be picked up over the next few days)

Final semester grades have been submitted to Keanwise. Enjoy the summer.

5/2/11 2D Design

Today's Class- Today was a general work day for anything class related. Pretty much everyone used the time to work on the Board Game project started last week. We also took time out to look at a few late arriving limited palettes projects.

Final Portfolio-

Next week I'll be grading the semester portfolio, which includes all work done in class that wasn't a graded project. I'll be looking for the following items:

Jan 31st- Wallpaper dot patterns

Feb 7th- Contour Lines (shoes)

Negative Space (chair and bottles)

Feb 28th Value Studies (vine and compressed charcoal)

Mar 28th Color Wheel/Complementary Colors/ Tints and Shades

Apr 18th Color Still Life Painting

Homework- The Board Game Final Project is due at the beginning of class on May 9, 2011, which is our final class meeting and the last day of the semester. Those who still owe me back graded projects, such as the color temperature collage and the limited palettes project, can turn them in that day for partial credit. The museum paper is also due that day, as a printed hard copy.

For next class 5/9/11- Bring the Final Project, the Semester Portfolio, the Museum paper, and any back projects you may owe. Although they are not required, I would appreciate you bringing back the graded projects as well, so I can see your progress over the whole semester.

Be on time! The sooner we start, the sooner the class will be all finished.
